Statement About Offensive Materials

Included in some collections are racially insensitive symbols or imagery and blackface.  The College does not condone or support such actions or symbols but acknowledges its history and works to provide researchers with an accurate portrayal of life on campus and within the larger region during those eras.  These photographs provide opportunities to discuss the core theme of diversity at North Idaho College as it relates to developing cultural competence, increasing global awareness, supporting social justice, and ethical responsibility.
