UpToDate registered accounts expire every 90 days so re-authentication should be expected. UptoDate may occasionally send you an email requesting that you verify your NIC affiliation. Or, you may see a message in the app display as well.
Please note: If you already have an existing account, do not register again if you can't remember your credentials. If you have forgotten your username or password, contact UpToDate support (800) 998-6374 OR customerservice@uptodate.com. Multiple account creation will create additional access issues.
RE-AUTHENTICATION // RENEWAL
Messaging from UpToDate may seem to imply that you need to be on the NIC network. You do not need to be on campus. To verify your NIC identity:
1. YOU CANNOT RE-AUTHENTICATE ON A MOBILE WEB PAGE. Access UptoDate on a web browser and make certain you are authenticated (NIC's Single Sign On page). If you are using a phone, enable the 'desktop' version of the site or switch to desktop or laptop web browser to complete.
2. Log in to your personal account with UptoDate (not your NIC credentials; Use the unique username/password you chose). After you log in to your personal account from the website, the app should refresh itself immediately.
Problems?
Have you followed the steps above and are still having trouble accessing? Next, try deleting and reinstalling the app and logging in again. If that does not resolve access contact us at librarian@nic.edu.
