Learn the basics of in-text and reference list citations
Did you use a library database to conduct your research? If so, the database probably has a cite tool to get you started on your reference list. Have questions about these database features? Ask a librarian for assistance.
MLA uses the core elements template to format citations. Most sources exist within a container. When the source being documented forms part of a larger whole, the larger whole can be thought of as a container that holds the source. For example, an article may be contained in a journal. The article is the source, and the journal is the container.
